We have loved a visit to the Bondville Model Village over the years, it is very fascinating and we feel like we spot something new every time we go.

Baking since 1865, Botham’s have a few locations located around Whitby. Botham’s Cafe is the perfect spot for a treat. Enjoy freshly baked cakes, and homemade sandwiches just away from Whitby Habour.

A traditional British seaside resort, Bridlington has a long and fairly flat promenade going all the way from Sewerby to the South Beach. There are long stretches of beach at both sides. You can walk either on the beach or cliff top from Sewerby to Danes Dyke. In the middle you’ll find the harbour where you can take a boat ride, enjoy fairground rides and find lots of options to eat and drink. There is a park and ride at the South Side and you walk along the glorious beach to Fraisthorpe. If walking is not your thing, there are two land trains that cover most of the promonade. For dull weather days, you can visit the John Bull Rock factory & see traditional rock being made.

This location is absolutely beautiful and full of history. We have visited over the Christmas Period before to see their theming, and we thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend.

This forest is perfect for walking and cycling enthusiasts, plus Go Ape is situated in Dalby Forest, making this a perfect day for all the family. We always like to take a picnic as there are lots of secret picnic areas.

Danes Dyke is a local nature reserve which leads down to one of the finest stretches of coastland on the East coast. The car park is pay & display and there are toilets. There are a few lovely walks and you can’t believe you are so close to the sea.

Certainly an experience. This is guaranteed to create scares and laughter upon the guests!

This attraction certainly shocked us when we went, it was very informative and interactive. We thoroughly enjoyed learning the history and we found it very fascinating. Perfect for the whole family.

Hayburn Wyke is a secluded bay that offers visitors a peaceful escape from the crowds, with stunning views of the rugged coastline and clear blue waters. It is a steep walk. Getting There: Approximately a 35 minute drive

This is tucked away in Scarborough along the South Bay, however it is known for generating large queues outside. They are known for their fish & chips.

A very reasonable priced and friendly take away selling hot and cold sandwiches and amazing, large slabs of sweet treats.

An amazing seafood restaurant on the pier on Scarborough. We really enjoy their ‘famous seafood chowder’. They also have dishes for those who don’t like seafood and they open for breakfast.

Probably the most well known fish and chip restaurant in Whitby, it always has a queue.

We are always amazed at the natural beauty and how sheep roam freely. We are still finding hidden gems such as the quaint Levisham Station which was very senic and tranquil.

This is North Yorkshires hidden gem, we have visited many times and it just gets better. There really is something for everyone. They have both water sports activities and land based activities, our family favourite are the aqua parks!

If you fancy a quieter visit to Scarborough a day around the North Bay is certainly for you. You can explore the natural world in Peasholm Park, whether that is on a walk or a pedalo. I bet many of you have fond memories of here from when you were younger.

As well as being the start of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, its a small town with a English Heritage Castle & the Beck Island museum

One of the UK's most spectacular wildlife experiences, it is home to thousands of nesting seabirds, including puffins, gannets and guillemots. With breathtaking coastal views and accessible clifftop paths, it's a must-visit for nature lovers.

Known as the ‘town that never was’, because it was supposed to be the next seaside resort - although its hard to believe! From here you can walk to the facsanating Peak Alum works.

A very quaint small resort with a beach at the bottom of a steep hill (parking is at the top). There are lovely little footpaths to explore the nature around.

Do you like fossils? This is the perfect place for you.

When it’s a rainy day and you’re wondering what to do with the little ones, why not visit the Sea Life Centre in Scarborough. It certainly is very fascinating to learn more about the sea life.

Ideal location in Filey Centre for an evening meal after spending the day out. Booking is essential.

Do you love history? Scarborough Castle is full of history and there’re lots of events throughout the year to keep you entertained.

The South Bay has something for everyone. From the pretty South Cliff Gardens, to Amusement Arcades, the famous Harbour Bar, Boat rides and fairground rides in Luna Park right next to the harbour. A more traditional seaside experience.

Scarborough has a 400 year history as a holiday resort and has everything you'd expect from a bustling seaside town.
The North Marine Drive joins the North Bay to the South Side and is a great, exhilarating walk if you’re up to the challenge or hop on a open top bus.
There are lots of places to eat and drink and of course lots of fish and chip shops (our personal favourite being the Lifeboat Fish Bar). The North has the famous Peasholm Park, worth exploring any time of the year. Look out for the brightly coloured beach huts in both bays! For those who struggle to walk there are 2 cliff lifts in the South Bay.

One of our favourite days out near Bridlington. Explore the beautiful house and gardens, visit the friendly animals and enjoy fantastic views overlooking the coast. We could spend a whole day around the north end of Bridlington and Sewerby. We recommend parking in either Limekiln Lane Car Park or Sewerby (Picinic) Car Park as these have lots of spaces and are perfect for a picnic.

The South Cliff Gardens are a historic cliffside park featuring restored Italian gardens, scenic walking paths & panoramic sea views. There is now a childrens play area, toilets and this is where the Clock Cafe is situated. Our favourite spot for relaxation.

This is definitely a worth a visit whilst staying with us. We recommend booking before you go as this is a popular pizza shop in Filey!

We discovered this hidden gem when we started coming to the Yorkshire Coast. They are the perfect stop for a quick lunch or a drink & a scone.

Well known following it’s appearance on ‘Four in a Bed’. This is a higher end pub/restaurant, worth a visit as a treat. It is located in Cayton so a short drive from Scarborough.

This location is famous in Filey for its grape vine that is right above your head! They sell delicious food at lunch and evenings.

off the beaten track, this is an ideal stop if you are cycling or walking along the cinder track. You can walk from here down to the waterfalls.

This is a convient location if you are visiting Flamborough Headland. It is also ideal as it is open year round and they’re currently offering a a great breakfast offer.

This amazing pub with friendly staff is only a 5 minute drive away from Sea Air & Sea Esta. We shared a few dishes, but our favourite had to be the 'Sesame Filey Bay Crab Toasts'. Absolutely delicious!

Owned by a lovely couple that we have got to know after visiting many times over the years. We recommend booking this traditional café! Their afternoon teas are worth treating to yourself to!

This quaint & traditional restaurant is a lovely spot for lunch or dinner. It is has been a firm favourite in our family due to the Dessert Trolley. We recommend an evening meal and then a walk around the North Landing watching the sun set, it creates an amazing scene!

Situated in the North Bay, this busy little café serves great snacks and amazing cakes.

This is a unique experience, and we loved our time on the boat. They have various trips during the day, so we recommend checking in the morning on the board. We maybe wouldn’t recommend if you have sea sickness, however. 😊

This dog friendly café is ideal for grabbling lunch in Filey, as they are walk-in only. They sell lovely cakes & bakes as well!

A pretty little village, that lots of people drive through on the way to Dalby Forest. It has an amazing ice cream and handmade chocolate shop. Definitely worth a stop!
