A traditional British seaside resort, Bridlington has a long and fairly flat promenade going all the way from Sewerby to the South Beach. There are long stretches of beach at both sides. You can walk either on the beach or cliff top from Sewerby to Danes Dyke. In the middle you’ll find the harbour where you can take a boat ride, enjoy fairground rides and find lots of options to eat and drink. There is a park and ride at the South Side and you walk along the glorious beach to Fraisthorpe. If walking is not your thing, there are two land trains that cover most of the promonade. For dull weather days, you can visit the John Bull Rock factory & see traditional rock being made.

Still very much a traditional seaside resort, Filey is one of Yorkshire’s up-and-coming coastal towns — yet it remains peaceful, friendly, and full of charm. Calling all nature lovers, Flamborough is a stunning location just down the coast. Choose between visiting Flamborough Head, the nature reserve at the south landing or the pretty coves at the north landing. The dramatic chalk cliffs boast a hive of nature and wildlife. For seafood lovers the Boathouse Burger & Grill has daily specials, and they have become famous for their lobster. Flamborough’s oldest lighthouse was built over 300 years ago.

Most famous for being the settling for the 1990's Heartbeat series. There is still lots of memorabilia to see. There is a lovely tea room & lots of walk to discover.

Just inland from the Yorkshire Coast, the North York Moors offers breath-taking landscapes, rolling heather-covered hills and peaceful villages such as Hutton-le-hole. We are always amazed at the natural beauty and how sheep roam freely. We are still finding hidden gems such as the quaint Levisham Station which was very senic and tranquil.

As well as being the start of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, its a small town with a English Heritage Castle & the Beck Island museum

Known as the ‘town that never was’, because it was supposed to be the next seaside resort - although its hard to believe! From here you can walk to the facsanating Peak Alum works.

A very quaint small resort with a beach at the bottom of a steep hill (parking is at the top). There are lovely little footpaths to explore the nature around.

Scarborough has a 400 year history as a holiday resort and has everything you'd expect from a bustling seaside town.
The North Marine Drive joins the North Bay to the South Side and is a great, exhilarating walk if you’re up to the challenge or hop on a open top bus.
There are lots of places to eat and drink and of course lots of fish and chip shops (our personal favourite being the Lifeboat Fish Bar). The North has the famous Peasholm Park, worth exploring any time of the year. Look out for the brightly coloured beach huts in both bays! For those who struggle to walk there are 2 cliff lifts in the South Bay.

A pretty little village, that lots of people drive through on the way to Dalby Forest. It has an amazing ice cream and handmade chocolate shop. Definitely worth a stop!

Most famous for being the inspiration for Bram Stokers 'Dracula', Whitby is now another busy seaside resort - but definitely different to other seaside resorts. Try walking the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey or visit on a Steampunk or Goth weekend. Whitby has more of a historic feel, with quaint little cobble streets, although it is very steep and not easily accessible for everyone.

From the magnificent York Minster to the fascinating JORVIK Viking Centre and the delicious York's Chocolate Story, York is a city packed with history and charm. Wander the medieval streets of The Shambles, then enjoy a bite to eat at favourites such as Ambiente Tapas, Bettys Café Tea Rooms or The Ivy St Helen's Square.
